BAD LIES

It’s easy to go along with the crowd

Especially when what they’re saying seems true…

But what if they have been telling you

REALLY BAD LIES…?

You owe it to yourself to do some research…

We’ve all grown up in ways that have become familiar and comfortable. We treasure our families, neighborhoods, cultures, and countries, and we have believed that our schools and teachers, and many others we have respected over the years, have always told us the truth.  BUT have they?

How could they have lied to us? They love us… They are our parents… They are our teachers and professors from much respected universities… They are our pastors and/or priests…

Have you ever heard of ‘honest lies’? These would be ‘lies’ when the person telling them believes that what they’ve been explaining to us is factually true, when in fact unbeknownst to them what they’ve been saying is NOT TRUE even though they really believed it to be true.

So, there is such a thing as an ‘honest lie’, and some of these are ‘REALLY BAD LIES’. Therefore if you do not want to be hoodwinked into trusting something that is ‘NOT TRUE’, you need to find out what is the ‘factually honest truth’.

These ‘REALLY BAD LIES’ could be those statements which you have relied upon, those principles upon which you have built your life on. For example: “sugar isn’t bad for you, so go ahead and add five spoonful’s to your coffee each morning; there’s a stock I heard of that pays back 65%, so invest in it all of your savings and do so as soon as you can; you don’t need to stop at that red light in the middle of the night, the traffic lights are only there to help you avoid an accident during the busy hours of the day…”

So when believing these things for example, you can get sick, you could lose all of your financial savings, and you could even get hit by a car and be killed—because you listened to someone you trusted and you thought they were telling you the truth, but they were not.

Now do you understand how important it is to do some research even with those less obvious things you’ve been trusting, just to be sure you are doing all you can to live safely and to enjoy your life to its fullest for as long as you can?

These are the benefits we enjoy from those who spend their time in medical research, those who search out those fraudulent financial scams, and those who enforce the laws of our country.

We all want everything that is ‘good. ’ and we really never want ‘bad’ things to happen to us. So until all of the research is done, or until the laws are put into force, it is natural to be somewhat optimistic or even pessimistic. So just before the results are to be announced we all become anticipatory—hoping the outcomes will really be ‘very good.’ And if that is indeed what happens we want everyone to take benefit of it.

Now I want us to take a look at the biggest mistake ever—that which has been believed to be true, but actually if you look more closely you’ll agree that it is not true at all. It is something which many good people have stated should be trusted, when in fact what they have said and written has and will continue to cause for many people their greatest disaster ever.

The fact is that many well-educated people can tell you things that are not true…, and it is possible that many people have trusted what they have been told and they are in real danger, because they have built their lives upon ‘REALLY BAD LIES’.

My sister-in-law’s husband signed up to take some hang-gliding lessons several years ago, and was told by his instructor certain things which Gary believed to be true. What he did not know is that his instructor was not as knowledgeable as he presented himself to be. Fortunately Gary hesitated to follow his teacher’s seemingly wise instructions, and sadly he watched his instructor plunge to his death from having not known certain things about wind currents that he should have known.

So you just cannot trust everybody, regardless of how well-informed and intelligent they say they are. However this does not mean you should mistrust everybody, but it does mean you need to be discerning, and do your own research on all of the important things that affect your life, and to do so before you make lasting decisions.

Now it is quite possible that you have been misled by others without knowing it, and you might have even built your life, or a part of it, on things that are not true. But don’t just throw in the towel! You can go back and rethink things and make better decisions from this day forward. And you might have been told that what I am about to share with you in this book is not true. But you do yourself great benefit to listen to what I have to say—because you can make some changes if you have been told some ‘REALLY BAD LIES’—and you can avoid the consequences for having believed those ‘lies’.
